ENVIRONMENT AND RESOURCES

The focus of the Department "Environment and Resources" is the evaluation of environmental and energy policy instruments by means of microeconometric analyses. Our work draws on both external surveys and data collected in-house, such as on the energy consumption of private households.

The work of the competence area is divided into two focal points: The focus on Environmental, Energy and Resource Economics deals with the efficient use of resources such as water, metallic raw materials and fossil fuels. The Environmental and Energy Policy focal area addresses the evaluation of environmental and energy policy measures and instruments. In addition, the research group "Prosocial Behavior," which examines the determinants of prosocial behavior and how prosocial behavior can be promoted, has been part of the competence area since the beginning of 2021.
