Dr. Andreas Gerster is a substitute professor at the University of Mannheim at the Chair of Quantitative Economics and has been working part-time at the competence area "Environment and Resources" since 2022.

Andreas Gerster's research interests lie in the area of environmental economics and finance, experimental and behavioral economics, as well as applied econometrics. In particular, he investigates the impact of information and pricing instruments of climate policy using causal methods of programme evaluation.

He has published in numerous internationally peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, European Economic Review, Journal of the Association of Energy and Environmental Economists and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
