GLOBAL MIGRATION

The Research Group “Global Migration” explores the multifaceted dimensions of migration. It delves into migrant perspectives, analyzing the drivers behind migration decisions and its impacts on individuals and origin communities. It studies forced migration, examining the nexus of conflict, climate change, and demography as causes of displacement. In doing so, the group’s research takes a decidedly global and holistic perspective, by assessing the impact of migration policies and attitudes on migration flows and outcomes – and vice versa. Through the collection of tailor-made primary data among various stakeholders in the migration debate, we aim to inform policy debates and contribute to a deeper understanding of migration dynamics.
