Ronald Janßen-Timmen studied economics at the Carl-von-Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Germany. Since 1989 he works as a research fellow at the RWI Essen, at first in the research group “Sectoral Analysis of Structural Change” (methodological and statistical aspects of Input-Output analysis, industry reports, analysis of structural changes in Germany). Since 2003 he analyses the institutional framework of environmental policies in the competence area “Environment and Resources”. This also includes questions of product-related environmental policies.
