LEIBNIZ FORMATS

As a member of the Leibniz Association, RWI regularly participates in the Association’s event formats. The aim is to bring the contents of our research closer to politicians and the interested public. During the Corona pandemic, the following formats took place virtually.

Leibniz in the Bundestag

With this dialogue format, the Leibniz Association has been bringing scientists together with members of the German Bundestag for individual discussions since 2008. There is a wide range of topics to choose from. In recent years, for example, RWI has provided information on topics such as the economy, CO2 pricing and vaccination behavior.

Leibniz in the State Parliament

As part of this dialog format, researchers from Leibniz institutes based in North Rhine-Westphalia have been visiting members of the Düsseldorf Sate Parliament since 2009 for individual exchanges in their offices. RWI has been involved from the very beginning, offering a wide range of topics with relevance to North Rhine-Westphalia, including the economic consequences of the Corona pandemic, the development of inequality and real estate prices, and the financial situation of hospitals.

Book a Scientist

Under the motto "Talk about the world with experts from the Leibniz Association. And understand it." interested parties can book scientists from Leibniz Association institutes for a twenty-minute conversation at "Book a Scientist." Launched in 2018, this innovative format is growing in popularity, with the next edition scheduled for November 10, 2021.
