LABOR MARKETS, EDUCATION, POPULATION
The Department "Labor Markets, Education, Population" investigates topics in labor economics, education economics and migration economics. In the field of labor economics, we focus on the effects of technological change on the labor market, especially with respect to employment and its structure, wages, and skill requirements. In addition, the research unit regularly conducts causal evaluations of labor market policy measures and institutional reforms. In the field of education economics, we primarily investigate vocational education (university studies, dual training, lifelong learning). In the field of migration economics, the effects of migration and the integration of immigrants in the host countries are examined.
