ECONOMICS UP CLOSE

The RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research considers it a very important task to bring young people closer to the topics and methods of economics, to promote understanding of economics and, above all, to explain current economic contexts. For this reason, in 2017 we launched "Economics up close – Experiencing Economics", an innovative and dialog-oriented event for school students in which economics-related topics and issues are discussed, reflected upon and presented by upper secondary school students together with RWI researchers.
In an interactive program, RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research would like to bring students closer to topics and issues in economics, break down fears of contact and show where economics plays a role in everyday life.
This year, "Economics up close – Experiencing Economics" will take place on June 12 at "Haus der Technik" in Essen. Interested secondary school students and their teachers can take part. Participation is free of charge, and registration is possible until May 8, 2023, as long as places are available. The event is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry For Economic Affairs and Climate Acton and the Ministry for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
