Lukas Tomberg has been working as a researcher in the research group "Prosocial Behavior" and the department "Environment and Resources" at RWI since April 2018. He studied economics in Cologne and Bochum, completed the course program for doctoral training at the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics and received his doctoral degree at the Ruhr University Bochum in February 2023.
His research focuses on behavioral economics and political economy. Areas of application of his research are resource conservation and climate change mitigation, mobility behavior and transport policy, donation behavior, precautionary behavior in the areas of health and finance as well as political polarization. As part of his empirical research, he conducts field experiments and survey studies and analyzes observational data.
