HEALTH ECONOMICS

The Research Unit 'Health Economics' conducts research in the field of empirical health economics, focusing on the resilience of healthcare structures. Its research covers the areas of ageing and health, the development of the healthcare system, and population health. A primary objective is to identify the causal effects of policy measures and life events on individual health and cognitive abilities. In addition, the Leibniz Science Campus Ruhr (LSCR) is part of the Research Unit. The Research Unit is also part of the Leibniz Lab 'Pandemic Preparedness' and the EU-MSCA doctoral network 'HEPARD'.
