Profile
Johannes Hollenbach has been a researcher in the Health Economics department since April 2021. As of June 2024, he also serves as a research assistant in the Department of Economics at Paderborn University. He has been a visiting researcher at the Vienna University of Economics and Business as well as the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
His research areas include applied econometrics and health economics. He is broadly interested in how (social) policy can support healthy aging.
As part of his work in policy consulting at RWI, he has also written
about the digitalization and the economic situation of hospitals.
Johannes graduated from the University of Bayreuth with an M.S. in Economics and a B.A. in International Economics and Development. He worked as a student assistant for the Chair of Development Economics and the Chair of Institutional Economics at the University of Bayreuth and spent a semester abroad in Korea.
