sustain2care.ruhr - Transferring sustainability measures in the care industry at the regional level

Sustain2care.ruhr brings together regional players in the care industry to improve the sustainability of the sector by developing, implementing and evaluating specific measures. To this end, the project identifies relevant stakeholders from science, industry and healthcare in the Ruhr region, who develop practical solutions in topic-specific think tanks. Three individual measure will be implemented and evaluated incrementally. These address either adaptation – i.e. the adjustment of care facilities to changing environmental conditions – or mitigation, in which the scope for action available to the facilities is used to reduce their ecological footprint. The aim is to achieve an efficient transfer of knowledge between science and practice as well as between facilities (practice-practice transfer). To this end, a toolkit is being developed that will enable regional and transregional implementation.
