Ronald Bachmann is head of the research unit "Labour Markets, Education, Population" at RWI and adjunct Professor of Labour Economics at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. He is also a faculty member of the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS) and a Research Fellow of IZA - Institute of Labor Economics.
His research interests lie in the field of empirical labour economics, especially in the analysis of the effects of technological change and of the ecological transition on the labour market, the evaluation of labour market measures and institutions, and the study of labour market dynamics.
His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Human Resources and ILR Review.
