Technological change, e.g. through increasing digitization and the increased use of robots, is advancing, triggering fears in many parts of society of job losses and a drop in income. Therefore, in a series of research projects, we are investigating the following questions: To what extent does technological change lead to job losses? What is the impact of robots on job security in Europe? How are firms responding to this change, and to what extent is labor demand changing? Do workers get additional education and training when they are threatened with job loss?
