Energy Consumption by Private Households in Germany (2006 bis 2013)
The aim of this research project is to obtain representative information on the energy demand of private households in Germany on the basis of empirical primary data surveys.
To this end, a comprehensive panel data set is being set up in cooperation with the forsa Institute in Berlin, which contains information on the energy consumption, living conditions, equipment with electrical appliances and consumption behavior of several thousand households in Germany.
The project is a direct follow-up to studies conducted in 2005 and 2003 and is being carried out on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).
