Evaluation of the maturity level of hospitals with regard to digitization
The Hospital Future Act (KHZG) provides for an investment of up to 4.3 billion euros by the federal government and the states into the digital infrastructure of hospitals. As part of this law, an "analysis and assessment of the current state of digitalization in German hospitals" as well as the impact of the Future Fund on the level of digitalization, patient care, and regional healthcare structures will be conducted. The Federal Ministry of Health has commissioned the consortium "DigitalRadar" to carry out this evaluation. The project partners include HIMSS Europe, inav – Institut für angewandte Versorgungsforschung, Lohfert & Lohfert, RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, and the University of St. Gallen.
