Datengestützt zum Erfolg

Internationale Beispiele für eine evidenzbasierte Transformation des Bildungssystems

In a complex and dynamic educational landscape, data-based education system management is becoming increasingly important. Educational data is systematically collected and analyzed in such a way that it can be used to further develop teaching methods, schools or the entire education system. The aim of the study is to present examples from various countries of such data-based education management. Examples from the countries (or regions) Switzerland, Canada, Chile, England, Denmark, and Estonia are used for this purpose. These countries cover a broad spectrum of education systems and infrastructures. What they have in common is that, in a global and intracontinental comparison, they are among the countries with above-average results in the OECD's “Program for International Student Assessment” (PISA) studies. All six countries or regions considered in this study have established different policies to use the data generated in the education systems to further enhance the educational systems. The focus of this study lies on the school system of the respective countries and excludes early childhood education, vocational training, and higher education.
