Occupational changes to bottleneck areas

The project answers the research question of which occupational changes into occupations with labour shortages can be observed on the German labour market and which factors play a particular role in changes to occupations in increasing demand. The first step of the project is to identify those occupations in which there is a particular labour shortage. On this basis, the role played by individual characteristics such as age, gender and education as well as occupational, sectoral and regional characteristics for switching to these areas will be determined.
