Patrick Thiel works as a researcher at the Research Data Center Ruhr since October 2020. At the same time, he pursues his doctorate degree as part of the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS). Prior to this, he studied economics and psychology at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (B.Sc.), followed by a master’s degree in economics at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
His research interests are urban and regional economics with a special focus on the housing market, amenities and environmental factors.
Patrick Thiel is responsible for the data management of the data sets “RWI-GEO-RED”, “RWI-GEO-REDX”, “Green-SÖP” and “RWI-GRECS”.
