High meat consumption is unhealthy. Moreover, the livestock industry is responsible for a significant share of global greenhouse gas emissions. An RWI study shows: Behavioral economic measures can help reduce meat consumption without introducing bans or additional taxes. If plant-based dishes appear as a standard choice in restaurants or canteens, guests are much more likely to opt for this option.
