Data overview
RWI-GEO-LAB: DIW-IAB-RWI-Neighborhoodpanel Labor Market Data
There is a lack of individual data for analyzing neighborhood effects that contains sufficient information about the direct neighborhood of individuals. At postcode level, this gap is to be closed with the DIW-IAB-RWI Neighborhood Panel for labor market data. Based on the Integrated Employment Biographies (IEB), aggregated data on employees (subject to social security contributions) and unemployed persons were generated. These data are available for the period 2004 to 2010.

A web scraping algorithm was used to determine price information on the clever-tanken.de page.

RWI-Minijobs NRW: Minijobs NRW: Employer and Employee Survey
Marginal employment relationships, so-called mini-jobs, have become a not insignificant part of dependent employment in Germany. In 2012 and 2016, RWI conducted a survey of both marginally employed workers and employers with mini-jobs in North Rhine-Westphalia. The employees and employers were asked about personal characteristics, the structure of the mini-job and the enforcement of employee rights, among other things. In 2016, questions were also asked about the minimum wage. The employee and employer surveys are available for 2012 and 2016 respectively.

RWI-Obesity: Finanical Incentives on Weight Loss
This dataset is based on a randomized experiment investigating whether weight loss and weight maintenance bonuses can be an effective tool to combat obesity. The experiment is based on overweight patients from four German Pension Insurance rehabilitation clinics in Baden-Württemberg with a body mass index of over 30 at the end of their hospital stay and with a personal weight reduction target that they are to achieve within four months.

The travel times were calculated using OpenStreetMap and the population-weighted center points using the RWI-GEO-GRID data.
