Notenvergabe an Schüler:innen mit Migrationshintergrund: Lehrkräfte gleichen Benachteiligungen aus statt zu diskriminieren
This article summarizes a study that examines whether students with a migration background are disadvantaged when it comes to grading. Our quantitative study is based on nationally representative data from students in two grade levels (fourth and ninth grade) from 2009 to 2018. In our analysis, we employ an innovative methodological approach that compares school grades directly with the results of anonymized, standardized performance tests. Our findings show that students with a migration background are not discriminated against in grading.
