Klima- und Energiepolitik in Deutschland – Dissens und Konsens

Politicians as well as the public often have the impression that economists fail to reach consensus on key economic issues. One such area of perceived controversy regards the implementation of Germany’s energy transition. This article uses publicly available statements of research institutes to set a counterpoint through the identification of areas of consensus and dissent among energy economists. Contrary to expectations, a general agreement on essential issues is revealed and thus clear recommendations can be articulated.
