Dörte Heger studied economics at the University of Mannheim and Queen’s University and holds a Ph.D. in economics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. Her dissertation examines the influence of different health care systems on the relationship between socioeconomic status and health and on the effects of informal caregiving on the labour force participation, health, and cognitive ability of the caregiver. Since July 2014 Dörte Heger works as a post-doctoral researcher at the RWI research department “Health Economics”, since November 2020 as acting deputy head.
