Deutschlands Versorgung mit Energie messbar sicherer gestalten

The energy price shock resulting from Russia's attack on Ukraine in 2022 has brought the security of energy supplies in Germany and Europe back into the public and political spotlight – after decades of complacency in which the oil crises of the 1970s had apparently been forgotten. Against this backdrop, Frondel et al. [1] quantified Germany's commodity-specific risks in the supply of crude oil, hard coal and natural gas shortly before Russia's attack, as well as the overall energy supply risk for Germany, and classified it by comparing it with that of the other G7 countries.
