The FDZ Ruhr analyzes to what extent the residential environment has an impact on residents or real estate prices. In addition to the socio-economic characteristics of households (segregation), the residential environment also includes regional characteristics such as environmental influences (noise, green spaces), but also the accessibility of infrastructure and the resulting accessibility of jobs and (urban) centers.
