Breidenbach is head of the FDZ Ruhr at RWI. He is also a researcher in the research
unit Macroeconomics and Public Finance.
His research interests lie in the evaluation of small-scale economic developments, inner-city inequalities, local housing preferences and real estate prices.Philipp Breidenbach has published in renowned international journals such as the Econometrics Journal, Regional Science and Urban Economics and Labor Economics.
In the area of data provision of the FDZ Ruhr, he is involved in the creation of the data sets RWI-GEO-GRID, RWI-GEO-REDx and RWI-GEO-Popforecast.
