Measures to reduce non-take-up of means-tested social benefits – An international overview
The project deals with measures to reduce the non-take-up of means-tested social benefits such as basic security benefits for jobseekers or housing benefits. The aim of the project is to identify and describe such measures that have been applied particularly successfully abroad and can thus serve as best-practice examples for Germany. Therefore, the project is particularly interested in measures that can be relatively easily transferred to the German context – for example, because they originate from countries with comparable social systems or address vulnerable groups or minimum income benefits that similar to those in Germany. The results of the project will be included in the Federal Government's Poverty and Wealth Report.
