Innovation Report Northrhine-Westphalia
The Innovation Report Northrhine-Westphalia comprehensively examines the innovation system of the state of NRW. Central aspects of innovation performance and the framework conditions for innovation in Northrhine-Westphalia are analysed in seven content sections and four in-depth focus sections.
The seven content sections are:
1. human capital, education and training
2. research and development
3. patenting and new technologies
4. knowledge and technology-intensive business start-ups
5. innovations
6. investments and infrastructure
7. productivity
The four focus sections, in which specific aspects of the innovation process are examined in depth, are:
1. impulses for an innovation strategy of the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs
2. status and mobility of human capital
3. potentials of artificial intelligence and machine learning
4. economic dynamics through technology and knowledge-intensive start-ups.
