METASCIENCE

How does empirical research generate insights and how does this evidence influence public debates and decision making in policy? Metascience examines the scientific process in order to enhance the transparency at the science-policy interface. More specifically, we investigate the reproducibility of seminal research findings and conduct systematic reviews in order to improve the understanding of the growing empirical research body. Methodologically, we thereby contribute to the broader emerging research transparency movement, while our metascience work specifically strives to review scientific work in the fields of development and environmental economics.
