Deutsche Konjunktur bleibt aufwärts gerichtet

The German economy returned to a growth path in the first months of 2013. The expansion was supported by private consumption whereas investment continued to decline. Net exports contributed only marginally to GDP growth. With the international environment improving and exports growing stronger investment can be expected to increase in the period ahead. It will be supported by favorable financing conditions. GDP is forecasted to grow by 0.4% in this year and 1.9% in the next. Under these conditions the situation in the labor market can be expected to improve further. With capacity utilization increasing inflation will get stronger reaching 1.7% on average in the next year after 1.5% in this year.
