Raw material monitoring involves, on the one hand, taking stock of the current extraction of gravel and sand, as well as quartz gravel and sand, in North Rhine-Westphalia, and the volume of recycled construction materials. Second, taking into account the expected supply of recycled construction materials and trends in raw material productivity, the report projects the future primary extraction of gravel and sand, as well as quartz gravel and sand, that will still be required under various scenarios regarding macroeconomic and structural economic development, and provides recommendations for action.
