Consultancy Services for Modelling and Simulations of Income Tax Reforms in Indonesia (Output 3)
The aim of this project is to further develop the Indonesian Ministry of Finance's existing microsimulation models for corporate income tax (CIT) and personal income tax (PIT). A microsimulation model based on household data (such as administrative income tax data) makes it possible to quantify the impact of potential income tax reforms on tax revenue and income distribution. Subsequently, possible income tax reform options will be simulated, and their effects on public revenue quantified.
