Hospital Sector
Hospital care is facing major structural challenges. Within the Research Unit, we analyze the financial stability and quality of German hospitals. A core element of this work is the annually published “Hospital Rating Report.” Furthermore, we contribute to current health policy debates through regular analyses, such as the “Barmer Hospital Report.” Another focus is on evaluating policy measures and investment programs aimed at promoting structural change. For instance, as part of the “DigitalRadar” consortium, we analyze the digital maturity of German hospitals.
