Repository for Policy Documents

In recent years, science-led political and social policy advise has gained enormously in importance and has become increasingly diverse. Political decisions are based more and more frequently on empirical research results and expert opinions. However, search for these advisory documents can be tedious and time-consuming because they are
scattered on various websites and are often not specifically searchable. For this reason, the Repository for Policy Documents (REPOD) has now been launched. REPOD is a digital repository, which makes advisory documents
searchable across disciplines and ensures a uniform quality assurance. Within the framework of the accompanying research to the project, RWI together with the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG), is researching the conditions for successful policy advice with a focus on documents of political and social consulting. Such products are created in a complex interaction process, in which science and and users from politics, administration or civil society interact closely, each contributing their requirements and demands. The results of theresearch qualify the repository to be developed, by providing reliable findings on the quality assurance of the posted documents as well as more precise ideas on the requirements for use.
