Rückverteilung der Einnahmen aus der CO2-Bepreisung

Das Versprechen der Politik endlich einlösen, aber nicht in Form des Klimageldes!

Carbon pricing for fossil fuels was introduced in 2021 to reduce their consumption for the purpose of climate protection. In order to ensure broad acceptance in the event of rising CO2 prices, politicians should return this revenue in full to consumers. So far, this has been in the form of annual lump sums. In order to reduce the burden on the population and companies more quickly and easily, the German government should make better use of the revenue from carbon pricing, which goes to the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF), to reduce components of the electricity price, especially grid fees. Lowering electricity prices would significantly relieve the burden on both private households and companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - new investment incentives would be created for companies and the economy could grow more strongly. In times of massive financial bottlenecks in the Climate and Transformation Fund, it would be wise to use the scarce funds in such a way that the energy transition is advanced and the burden on companies and the population is reduced at the same time. This would be the case if the KTF funds were used to reduce grid fees and the numerous levies on the electricity price, but not if a climate fund were paid out.
