Regular reporting on business cycle developments in North Rhine-Westphalia and on the monitoring and analysis of selected economic topics in North Rhine-Westphalia
The RWI regularly analyses economic developments in the federal state and in this context also prepares a forecast for the following year. Until 2012, the results of the analysis were included directly in the annual economic report of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2010, instead of the economic analysis, an article by Prof Dr Christoph M. Schmidt on the state's prospects after the financial crisis was published. The "Economic Reports North Rhine-Westphalia" published between 2004 and 2012 were also published in the "RWI Materialien" series. From 2013 to 2015, the report was part of the December issue (No. 4) of the RWI Economic Reports. Since 2023, RWI has been preparing the report on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
