A Study on labour market transitions using micro-data from the Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC)

The study analyses the evolution of labour market dynamics (e.g. labour market transitions from employment to unemployment) in the EU Member States as well as in various candidate countries before and during the economic and financial crisis. In doing so, we pay particular attention to cross-country labour market differences, as well as the link between the labour market performance of a country and its labour market institutions. The empirical analysis is generally based on the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC), for selected countries, we use the European Union Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS).
