Occupational mobility, wages and worker well-being
Grant agreement no. 101132581 Deliverable: D5.1 Paper quality of work
This paper provides evidence on job and occupational mobility in Europe, as well as the consequences of these transitions for workers, which play an important role for the structural change of labour markets. We analyse the extent of occupational mobility related to job-to-job transitions, the importance of voluntary vs. involuntary occupational mobility, and wage mobility related to occupational mobility. For our analysis, we use EU-SILC data and separately analyse the period 2011-2014 and 2015-2018. We also discuss the role of working conditions in the context of occupational mobility and labour and skills shortages.
