Generative KI und KI-Agenten in Unternehmen

Vom Assistenten zum Akteur

Generative AI is becoming an increasingly common feature of everyday business life: it creates and edits content, extracts knowledge and supports employees with analysis, communication and decision-making. AI agents go a step further by breaking down objectives into subtasks, integrating digital tools and data sources, and planning, coordinating and, in some cases, independently executing multi-stage workflows. This signals a qualitative shift: AI is no longer used merely as an ad hoc tool, but is increasingly able to take on and carry out tasks within business processes independently. This transition from assistant to active participant broadens the scope of AI’s potential applications whilst simultaneously affecting the balance between human and technical agency. What does this development mean for work within organisations, how far-reaching are the associated changes, and how can organisations best harness the synergistic potential of the intricate collaboration between humans and machines?
