Kinshuk Taneja is a doctoral researcher at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and the University of Duisburg-Essen, part of the HEPARD Doctoral Network (EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions). His research interests include applied econometrics, family economics, health economics, demography, and policy economics.

Originally from India and raised in the Netherlands, he holds a BSc in Economics and Business and an MSc in International Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. His thesis on contraceptive responses to the Dobbs decision was nominated for the Erasmus Diversity Thesis Award and the Netherlands Court of Audit Prize. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant for Prof. Sacha Kapoor.

He served on the Board (2023) and subsequently the Supervisory Board (2024 to 2026) of EFR, the largest study association in Europe, serving the 60th, 61st, and 62nd terms respectively. He also served as President of the RVA IT (IT Advisory Board) from 2024 to 2025.
