Julian Roeckert is a researcher RWI´s Economic Policy Lab "Climate Change, Development, and Migration”. He studied economics in Tübingen and Berlin. Also, he completed studies at Goldsmiths College in London. Prior to joining RWI in October 2023, Julian completed his PhD at the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
Julian Roeckert´s research interests include socio- economic consequences of climate change as well as climate adaptation strategies on the household and community level. A further interest is the evaluation of international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
