Profile

Fatou Fall is since September 2025 a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Policy Lab in the Population and Development research group. She obtained her PhD in Economics in December 2024 from Université Paris Dauphine–PSL, where she previously completed a Research Master’s degree in Development Economics. She has been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (2025), through which she will lead the INSEEDS (Insights on the design of effective seed systems) research project at the Policy Lab.

Her research lies at the intersection of development and agricultural economics. She studies how public policies, institutional structures, and behavioral responses shape agricultural productivity, migration decisions, and rural livelihoods. Combining experimental and quasi-experimental methods with institutional analysis and fieldwork, her work aims to generate rigorous and policy-relevant evidence.
