SUSTAINABILITY AND GOVERNANCE
Publications | Projects | Team

Is the absolute decoupling of growth and resource consumption possible on a global scale? Can the economy in Germany and the EU be decarbonized without the onset of creeping deindustrialization? What should a holistic welfare reporting look like? The research group pursues scientific research and provides evidence-based policy advice on issues related to a sustainable economy and the institutions and processes that are necessary to achieve it. Its focus lies on the political economy-informed analysis of policy mix pathways, the causal evaluation of measures, and the elaboration of options for interventions towards greater sustainability. Cooperation within and beyond RWI enable achieving a thematic breadth that encompasses economic, ecological, and social aspects.
