Permeability of EU Labour Markets

The aim of this study is to provide a detailed quantitative analysis of the permeability of labour markets in the European Union. In order to achieve this aim, we analyse transitions at the individual level between different labour market states and between occupations, as well as earnings mobility. In this context, the role of the institutional framework in the countries under investigation is of particular interest. The analyses are based on the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC).
