Information frictions in school track choice
Language is fundamental for social participation. And parental language deficits can affect their offspring’s access to education. To date, there is little evidence on the role of language skills and the level of information of parents in the choice of their children’s educational paths, although information frictions caused by language barriers can contribute to educational inequality. This project uses data from an app programmed specifically for this project to examine what information supports parents in their children's school track choice best.
