RWI-GRECS: German Residential Energy Consumption Survey

The RWI-GRECS is a panel survey on household energy consumption in Germany as a representative sample. The aim of this study is to obtain meaningful information on household energy consumption in Germany. These households are comprehensively questioned about their energy consumption, the energy sources used, the living conditions and their housing characteristics of the inhabited building. The survey also collected the meter readings. These show the energy consumption of the survey year. Partly, accounts from previous years are also being queried.

Data are available for the years 2003, 2005 as a cross-section and for 2006-2008, 2008-2011 and 2011-2013 as a panel.
